Description
WorldLink’s Biblical Encouragement family of applications consists of 6 unique applications:
- Bible Encouragement - Weight loss
- Bible Encouragement - Stop Smoking
- Bible Encouragement - Drug Addiction
- Bible Encouragement - Alcohol Addiction
- Bible Encouragement - Gambling Addiction
- Bible Encouragement - Pornography Addiction
Each app is sold individually and provides encouraging and relevant Bible verses for the myriad of emotions and physical symptoms associated with your personal challenge.
The app facilitates a personal and meaningful conversation between you and God. You simply select one of over 35 categories describing how you are currently feeling. Biblical Encouragement then displays a series of 10 verses specific to how you are feeling, including a brief commentary on each verse. The verses and comments will provide comfort and encouragement to you in a very personal and meaningful way.
For example, Paul is struggling with losing weight, mostly due to eating large food portions. He launches the Biblical Encouragement – Weight Loss application. He selects the Struggling With... category. A sub-category is presented with more detailed options and he selects Portion Control. The app displays:
“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.” – Psalm 107:19-20
Comment: Ask God to give you the strength of self-control to better manage portion sizes. He will not ignore your request. He will send his healing words to comfort you in times of temptation.
Now Paul is remembering that he should rely more on God in his weight struggle. For one more bit of confirmation, he presses the More button. The app displays:
“Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined.” – Titus 1:8
Comment: Portion control requires self-control and discipline. Often times this is difficult. Self-control is not so much within yourself, rather it is given to you from God. So, ask God for an extra “portion” of self-control.
Paul feels much better now. He marks the verse as a favorite and then emails the verse as an encouraging note to a friend who is also on a diet.Features
